•Permissions: Administrator rights, due to monitoring requests over certain ports
•The user under which the server runs must have a specific date and number format set (DD.MM.YYYY)
•Network/Firewall: Communication via ports 8090-8093 (TCP) must be possible. Configuration of alternative ports is possible.
•For setup and maintenance, remote desktop access to the machine is required
•For setup and maintenance, programs like Notepad++ or similar are needed, and an Office package (for opening Access mdb databases) is helpful

The Talsim core (Engine) can also be used independently, e.g., for simulations outside the GUI (including automated or operational use), and/or as a component in an operational system like Delft-FEWS. The following system requirements apply for this:
