For the definition of division rules, functions depending on the current inflow are the appropriate representation. Thus, both a hydraulic description and a description serving the management of the reservoir are possible. For each outflow leaving the branching structure a distribution function has to be specified. If the functions are to be variable, a scaling is recommended.
