For each (temporal) supporting point values for x and y are entered. If the system state value before the transformation is smaller than the x-value, it is set to zero. If it is equal or bigger than the x-value, it is transformed to the y-value. Every current date / timestamp decides which respective supporting point is used for the transformation.
