There is a direct dependency between the discharge from the reservoir and the current inflow to the reservoir. Similar to the pool-based operating plan, there is also an adaptation to different inflow situations. This is done to prevent depletion or overflowing or to obtain a variable discharge regime downstream. However, long-term inflow fluctuations are difficult to detect with this operating rule, since the observations are only carried out as snapshots and not continuously.
