The determination of the characteristics and parameters is very different. Some are known (e.g. pipe diameter of a circular channel), others require extensive preliminary work in a GIS (e.g. the subdivision of a subcatchment area using soil maps, land use maps and the gradient determined from the DEM into hydrologically similarly reacting areas, the elementary areas). | The determination of the characteristics and parameters is very different. Once the system elements have been created in the system plan, the calculation method for the individual system elements is selected and filled with the appropriate parameters. This is done in the data sheet for the respective system element.
Even if parameters are not known and should be the object of a calibration, they must be filled with a first estimate as a start for the calibration.
